Interview w/ Curt
Joined KSSK:  Feb 1985, part-time , moved to Kona in August of 1987 for my 1st full time gig. Moved back to O’ahu in  June of 1994 to be full-time with  KSSK and have been here ever since.

If I had a theme song it'd be:  "Home" by Olomana

Originally from:  Born and raised right here in Honolulu

I now reside:  In Kaimuki

My first...

**Live musical concert:  Little River Band at the Blaisdell in '77 or '78
**Audio Purchase: 1972 - Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" on 45
**Paying job:  Bus boy at Harvest House Coffee Shop at Woolworth in Kahala Mall

When away from the radio station, you may find me:  Always enjoying being with my wonderful wife Heather and my 2 boys Caleb and Zach.

When I get the chance to eat out, I enjoy:  Thai or Chinese food from "Champa Thai" and "Yen King"

My favorite things!...

++Movies, actors/actresses:  Anything with Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Sandra Bullock, Kate Hudson.  I love any type of comedy because I love to laugh.

++Books/authors: When I read,  I fall asleep.

++Magazines:  Entertainment Weekly, Consumer Reports

++Websites:  Too many to mention.

++Albums, bands/artists:  I still like "fore" from Huey Lewis and the News -- the very 1st CD I ever purchased.  And when I'm kickin back with friends and family or taking my daily walk, I love listening to a lot of Hawaiian (local) music and some reggae.

++Sports, teams:  Not into any except for maybe the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl.

++Places to shop, spend money:  Tamura's in Kaimuki...I love their wine selection and awesome poke

The trend I still don't get is:  On guys -- the baggy pants draggin on the gournd and hanging below the waist to show the brief or boxer band.  On women -- the 'super duper tight' as low as possible jeans/pants.

Even while I live in paradise, I dream about visiting:  My homeland of Portugal "viva la Portugal"

One of the things I really appreciate about living in Hawaii is:  Its people and those that have adopted the "Spirit of Aloha." After all, we are all in this life together, so let's make the most of our one shot at this awesome life. :)

Bonus round: My mos' favorite pidgin words and da kines:
Try smile eh...no goin' broke your face
